    Mr. and Mrs. James C. Miller of Brocket observed their 60th wedding
anniversary Nov. 23, 1974. They were honored at a dinner given by their sons and
daughters and their spouses at the Elks Club in Devils Lake.

    Host couples were Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Beatrice) Ducharme, Omaha, Neb., Mr.
and Mrs. Ken (Dorothy) LeDuc, Kalispell, Mont., Mr. and Mrs. Archie Miller,
Fergus Falls, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. James W. Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph D.
Miller, Brocket.

    Mr. and Mrs. Miller are lifelong residents of North Dakota. Both have been
active in community affairs. Miller has been in business in the Brocket area for
more than 60 years. He also served as a member of the school board and is the
mayor of Brocket. The couple has five children, 15 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
