Lakeview Cemetery, Broomfield, Colorado This cemetery was surveyed August 1999, by Carol Darrow. Material in parentheses has been added by the surveyor based on observations. Lakeview Cemetery Incorporated 1890 Lakeview Cemetery is located in Broomfield, Colorado. Broomfield is currently located in four different counties (Adams, Boulder, Weld and Jefferson) but will become a city and county by the name of Broomfield in 2001. Lakeview Cemetery is located on Eagle Way (10th Ave.) one block west of Main St. The cemetery was apparently a community cemetery rather than a church cemetery but at the present time only cremation remains may be buried in a special area in the center of the cemetery. It overlooked a slough - hence the name Lakeview. The slough was drained and is now the high school football field. The cemetery is sparsely populated. It is approximately 100 yards square with 42 marked graves, 39 identifiable and 3 without inscription.
