In two weeks he ate $1.50 worth of the cure, and for the next two weeks used five cents' worth of gum, five cents worth of peanuts, and five cents worth of gum drops, daily. During the two weeks he had also consumed two large rubber erasers, ate the rubber tips from fourteen lead pencils, chewed up ten penholders, and browsed off his moustache as high as he could reach. He is now chewing tobacco in the interest of economy.
