brief bout of cancer.
BIRTH/PLACE:  born Aug. 28, 1938, in Kansas. She moved to Haines in 1968 with
her husband and children and lived there until five years ago. She then moved to
Juneau.

PROCEEDED IN DEATH BY: her husband, Elmer Sykes
SURVIVING ARE: 
 son and daughter-in-law, Don and Janice Sykes of Talkeetna; daughter, Sheryl
Tichenor of Eagle River; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Lon Carson; and son,
James of Big Lake; 
FUNERAL HOME:  Anchorage Funeral Home
BURIAL LOCATION:  Burial will be at the Jones Point Cemetery in Haines.
