FORT RAYMOND CEMETERY
Seward, Alaska

Soldiers were buried at Fort Raymond in Seward, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska beginning in
February 1942 and ending in May 1945. Following World War II, the men were disinterred and
transferred to Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska or home. Fort Raymond and its cemetery,
formerly located on northwest corner of Evergreen and Hemlock, no longer exist. The Fort
Raymond Cemetery information was compiled by Kerry Martin, Seward cemetery historian.
