KASILOF AREA MEMORIALS
Kasilof, Alaska

The following persons lived in the Kasilof area. They were buried on private land or their ashes
were scattered.

Johansen Cemetery
The Johansen Cemetery is located on Johansen Drive in Kasilof, Kenai Peninsula Borough,
Alaska. The legal description is Ness-Johansen Subdivision, Block 2 Lot 3. The information was
acquired in August 2002.
1. Anatole "Toni" Johansen
(Interred ashes)
2. Freda "Fritza" Johansen
(Interred ashes. Toni and Fritza
were husband and wife.)
3. Gust Ness
1883 - 1937
(His remains are reported to be here
and his headstone has been moved
to the Kenai Cemetery.)

Osmar's Dock Cemetery
The Osmar's Dock Cemetery is located near Kasilof, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Alaska. It is off a
gated cannery road at about mile 4.8 of Kalifornsky Beach Road. This information was provided
in 1983.

Died July 2, 1891
(A fenced gravesite with rails.
The wooden headboard is about
36 inches tall with a rounded top.)

(Ashes scattered on the family
homestead in Kasilof.)
