It is part of a group of cemeteries and is the first cemetery facing the paved road. This cemetery is owned by Seward Lodge Number 219 Free and Accepted Masons. The cemetery is arranged in blocks beginning at the northwest corner closest to the mountains and furthest from the gate. Within the blocks, the lots are numbered beginning at the top 1-4 on the left side and 8-5 on the right side. The notation in parenthesis, following the cemetery marker inscription, is additional information. The note "1983 information" refers to Alaska's Kenai Peninsula Death Records and Cemetery Inscriptions published in 1983 by the Kenai Totem Tracers. The note "KM data" refers to the data of Kerry Martin, Seward cemetery historian, who has researched death certificates, obituaries, funeral home records and Seward Recording District records in an effort to learn more about the people buried in the Seward cemeteries.
