It is found by turning off the Seward Highway onto Nash Road. After crossing over the railroad tracks, turn left on Salmon Creek Road. The cemetery is located 8/10s of a mile down Salmon Creek Road on the right. The cemetery was acquired by the city of Seward in 1916. It was abandoned in the early 1930s due to the rising water table. For the location, see Seward Cemeteries map in the Appendix The following names come from the database of Seward Cemetery historian, Kerry Martin. At the time the Woodlawn Cemetery was founded, persons buried in small family cemeteries were reinterred in Woodlawn. This cemetery is being restored. A new sign placed in 2003 reads "City of Seward Historic Woodlawn Cemetery." Some of the people in the following list have grave markers which were read August 12, 2003. Those are noted. 362 1.
