  KARLUK. A p o and fishing station on Kadiak [sic] Island and Shelikof Strait,

between 800 and 900 miles w of Sitka. Contains a Greek church and salmon

canneries. The greatest recorded catching of salmon in the world have been made

here. It is a landing for m__l steamers plying along the coast.
