The Nome and Snake are the rivers that run through the district; both of which, including their tributaries, have very rich gold deposits. Among the noted creeks on which gold has been found are Anvil, Dexter, Lindloom, Glacier, Sunset, Snowgulch and many others. Nome is the shipping point and p o of the district.
