Distinguished Service Cross Citation
  Daniel D. Pullen, colonel, Tank Corps. For extraordinary heroism in action in the
Bois de Cuisy, France, September 26, 1918. Col. Pullen displayed conspicuous
gallantry and leadership in directing a tank attack on the Bois de Cuisy, after
which he rallied a force of disorganized infantry, leading it forward in the face of
violent machine-gun fire and occupying the ground which had been taken by the tanks.
Address: Care of The Adjutant General of the Army, Washington, D. C.   Entered
Military Academy from Alaska.
