COPPER RIVER MINING DISTRICT. Along the Copper river and n of Valdez, the p o.

Gold, copper and coal are found in considerable quantities, and petroleum

springs have been located where the oil floats out in paying amounts: The oil

can be piped to shore, or even to ships. The coal is semi-anthracite in quality,

and excellent for steaming purposes. Mail and steamer communication at Valdez,

with Alaskan and States points.
