Edelen, II ================================================================================ October 2002 Cox - Vincent Cemetery Located on the property of the International Paper Corporation Paper Mill, which is located south of Prattville. Take Highway 82 or County Road 4 off Highway 31 (coming from Montgomery you would take a left). It is about 2 1/2 miles west of Highway 31. There is a four lane entrance road to theleft off of Highway 82, which goes south and then crosses County Road 4, then right up to the front of the plant. If you are anywhere in the vicinity, just follow the constant billows of smoke and steam you see coming from their smoke stacks. The Autauga Co. Map has four old family cemeteries listed on their land. There turned out to be five with one not on the map. This one was not on the map. I went to the Union Camp Paper Mill (now International Paper) to get permission to check these cemeteries. Martin Peters, Senior Designer of International Paper Co., and an old friend gave his permission and also gave me copies of a survey he and Mr. O. did in 1997 of these cemeteries. What is listed here is from those lists. This cemetery is just a handfull of graves on near the river not far from an old farm/home place. I am going to find out who lived there. It islocated on or near sort of like the corner formed by the Autauga Creek and where it empties into the Alabama River. 1.
