L. Rogers the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Timothy L. Rogers his heirs and assigns the following described land to wit: a part of northeast qr. of Section thirty in Township eighteen of Range thirteen, beginning at the N.E. corner of said qr. section running south eleven chains, thence south by west fourteen chains and seventy links to a red oak corner, thence south to the south line, then with this line west to the corner, thence north to the northwest corner, thence east to the beginning corner, containing one hundred and twenty-five acres of land more or less, said land lying and being in the county of Autauga, and in the district of Lands sold at Cahaba. To have and to hold the aforegranted premises to the said T. L. Rogers his heirs and assigns, to their sons and (behoof?) forever. And we do covenant with the said T. L. Rogers his heirs and assigns that we will warrant and defend the same to the said T. L. Rogers his heirs and assigns forever against the claims and demands of all and every other person whatsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this 12th day of September 1829. Benjamin Dunn {Seal} Moses. H. Collins J.P. (looks like) Susanna Dunn {Seal} (no discernable “h” Robt. Warnock J.P. on the end of name) This day came the above named Benjamin Dunn and Susanna Dunn his wife before us, and the said Benjamin Dunn acknowledged that he signed and sealed and delivered this foregoing deed to T. L. Rogers for the purposes and considerations therein expressed. And the said Susan.. Dunn the wife of Benjamin Dunn being by us examined privately and apart from her husband acknowledged that she signed, sealed and delivered the said deed & that she now voluntarily and freely relinquishes to the said T. L. Rogers his heirs and assigns all her rights, interest and claim of dower to the within described land without any force threat or compulsion from her husband for so doing.
