Prattville Progress  September 29, 1982
Alford, Decie Hunt, 69, and a resident of Rt. 6, Box 143, Prattville, [Alabama]
died Tuesday, September 28, 1982 in a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services 
will be held Thursday, September 30, 1982 at 2 p.m. from Prattville Community 
Church with Rev. Bobby Hicks officiating. Burial in Owens Cemetery with 
Rideout's Prattville Chapel directing.  Decie Hunt Alford was preceded in 
death by husband, Raymond Talmadge Alford.  Survivors include four daughters, 
Katie L. Barber, Georgia B. Cook, Recie Mae Dennis, Davean Flemming, all of 
Prattville; one step-daughter, Joyce Whitfield, Florida; one step-son Jimmy 
Alford, Montgomery; two brothers, Grover Hunt, Georgia, Luther Hunt, 
Prattville; seven sisters, Essie Lou Sanford, Melza Golden, Bama Thornton, all 
of Prattville, Nina Tucker, Jessie Mae Harris, both of Montgomery, Barbara 
Thompson, Hazel O'Neil, both of Texas; 13 grandchildren and 25 great- 
grandchildren.
