She passed from this life on May 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Mae Johnson and father, Oscar Stephens; one daughter, Eleamor Cox Garner; her husband, Jimmy Garner; and one granddaughter, Angela Garner. She is survived by her four sons, Leon (Dee) Cox, Henry (Elaine) Cox, Charles (Peggy) Cox and Johnny (Cindy) Cox; three daughters, Mary Lou (Bill) Pressley, Carolyn Sue (Marvin) Gentry, Katie (Shot) Thames; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Clairee O'Daniel. Louise lived most of her life in Montgomery, Alabama but moved to Jacksonville, Florida to live with her mother in 1980. While there she attended the North Jacksonville Baptist Church. In 1996, she moved to Prattville, AL where she attended Camellia Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Reverend Jay Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3054 C McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111 in memory of her daughter and son-in-law Eleanor and Jimmy Garner.
