DeJarnette, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, at her residence, 1620 Sixth Avenue, Bessemer, after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the residence, the Rev. L. D. Patterson, pastor of the First Methodist Church, of Bessemer, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Jacobs in charge. Mrs. DeJarnette is survived by four sons, Thomas H. DeJarnette, David M. DeJarnette, James T. DeJarnette, Jr., and Mims DeJarnette; her mother, Mrs. T. E. Tinner; a sister, Mrs. A. C. Cooney; two brothers, Harris Marbut, Hattiesburg, Miss., and Norman Marbut, New Orleans, and two grandchildren, Thomas H. DeJarnette, and Laura Jean DeJarnette. Pallbearers will be L. E. Ling, Harry Massey, Oscar Harmer, Alex Carroll, Stephen Urick and Joe M. Scott.
