This file was contributed by: Mary Ann Nichols ==================================================================== JAN 1999 Obit of Mary Tatum Bridges - Autauga/Talladega Co.'s, AL Tuscaloosa Gazette of Sept 19, 1890: "On Sunday at the residence of her son in law, Mr. William Chancellor, near this place, occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Bridges, oldest lady in the county. She was 103 years old, and had been a widow 70 years. She was the daughter of Eppes Tatum of Autauga County, and was a member of Pine Level Methodist Episcopal Church. She had outlived all her children and had, for 50 years, been living with Mr. Chancellor. She will be buried this afternoon at Childersburg." Childersburg Cemetery
