Caver, Jr. January 3, 1935: Mrs. George JONES died at her home near Prattville Monday afternoon, the victim of a stroke of paralysis... Mrs. JONES was, before her marriage, Miss Mary Ella WALLACE, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. M.P. WALLACE. She was born at Independence on January 27th, 1884, and was reared in that community. On August 7th, 1902 she was married to George D. JONES, also a resident of Independence. In August 1913, they moved to Prattville... Surviving the deceased are the husband, three sons, Wesley, L.M., and George Heflin; two daughters, Mrs. G.W. RYALS, of Montgomery, and Mrs. Sanford HOLMES, Prattville, and three brothers, Phil WALLACE, Independence; Ben WALLACE, Ensley, and Joe WALLACE, Tallassee... The remains were carried by Griffin to Independence, where burial was in the Jones Cemetery.
