HISTORY: Guy’s Chapel Methodist Church was founded in 1909. On Jan 6, 1910 one acre of land was donated by Benjamin and Cynthia Hadley to Guy’s Chapel Methodist Church and cemetery. Benjamin Hadley was the first burial at Guy’s Chapel Cemetery on Dec 4, 1914. An additional one and one half acres were donated to Guy’s Chapel United Methodist Church and Cemetery by Sam and Betty Stewart in 2000. Betty Stewart is the granddaughter of Benjamin and Cynthia Hadley. LOCATION: The cemetery is located next to Guy’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Guy’s Chapel is located 4.8 mi. north of intersection I-65 (Exit 37) and County Road 47. If proceeding from north on County Road 47, Guy’s Chapel is located 4.4 mi. south of intersection I-65 (Exit 45) and County Road 47.
