From Bay Minette, travel southwest on Highway 138 (also called Huricane Road) some six miles until you reach the intersection of Highway 138 and Highway 225 (Crossroads). Turn left on Highway 225 and travel some 8 miles until you see the cemetery on the left. The historical marker in front of the cemetery says: "Saluda Hill Cemetery is a private historical cemetery established in 1824. Among the graves here is that of Zachariah Godbold, the only known Revolutionary War veteran buried in Baldwin County. Many Blakeley residents and confederate soldiers also are buried in the cemetery." Over the years, the cemetery has been treated poorly by vandalizes. Most of the tombstones have been broken off their bases and are laying on the ground as slabs. Their as several slabs with writing on them that cannot be read and also several stone crosses. the majority of the burials in the cemetery are not even marked.
