Newberry, Jr ==================================================================== MARCH 2003 STAPLETON CEMETERY, Near Stapleton, Baldwin, Alabama Surveyed March 4, 2003 Stapleton Cemetery is named for the Stapleton Family who lived nearby the cemetery's location. The local Stapleton, AL community was also named for these early residents. The cemetery is located about 3 miles north of Stapleton just off US Hwy 31/59. If you are traveling north from Stapleton, turn left at Holly Hills Country Club, and proceed one half mile. Most plots are on the east side of the road, although a couple are on the west side. This road is part of the original route of US 31 between Bay Minette and Stapleton, and rejoins 31 about one half mile south of the cemetery.
