W. Gilmore, Friday afternoon October 10th at 2 o'clock. She was a native of Bullock County, but had been a resident of Fairhope for the past forty or more years. Her health began to fail several years ago and since then, she has made her home with her sister, Mrs. J. W. Gilmore and family. She fell three weeks ago, breaking her hip and due to her extreme age, she was unable to recover. She is survived by her two sister; Mrs. J. W. Gilmore of Fairhope and Mrs. Seana Jeter of Birmingham; two brothers, J. A. Carter of Troy, Ala; and Dr. Stephen S. Carter of Bradleyton, Ala, a newphew Langford Petrey, a neice Mrs. Minnie Bright of of Jacksonville, Fla, and numerous other relatives. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church, of which she had been a devoted member, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. J. R. Hudgens officiated. Interment was in the Point Clear Cemetery. Higgins and Turner Mortuary of Fairhope directing. Pallbearers were: Active, John Jones, Dupree Mason, Lee Parker, Richard Kenner, Grover Lowell, and George Dana. Honorary Dr. W. C. Mason, S. W. Alexander, J. F. Loftin, J. H. Barnett, Frank McKenzie, and Jack Demeree.
