Montgomery society people are taking a great deal of interest in the wedding of Hon. R. J. Lowe and Mrs. Carrie Cochran Jackson, which takes place at Roseland on next Wednesday afternoon. Roseland is the famous old country place of the Toney family near Eufaula, and is now the property of Mrs. Jackson, whose mother was a Miss Toney. The bride is known to everyone here, where she often visited as Miss Cochran, and where as the wife of the late Bishop Jackson, of the Episcopal church she resided for several years. Mr. Lowe is the distinguished chairman of the state democratic executive committee, and was a prominent member of the late constitutional convention.
