Know all men by these presents that I, Needham Lee, Senior, Of the County and State aforesaid, being of sound disposing mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make, publish and declare this instrument in writing to be my last will and testament. And firstly, I commit my spirit to God who gave it, with firm belief in the resurrection of the body. And secondly, touching the worldly estate with which I am entrusted, I dispose of the same in the manner and form following, to wit: 1_____I desire that as soon as practicable after my death, my executors shall pay all just debts which I may be owing. 2_____I give and bequeath unto my sons John B. Lee, Needham Lee Junior, and Lovard Lee Junior, and to my daughters Elizabeth Lee [wife of John W. Jackson] and Louisiana Lee [now wife of Granbury H. Hudson] the sum of Five dollars each, to be paid by my executors on demand. And for the reason, that I have heretofore given to my said children property to the value of about Fifteen hundred dollars each, I do not feel that, in justice to my present wife and younger children hereinafter names, I can make any further distribution of my estate among them. 3_____Abt the remainder of my estate, both real and personal, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sally Lee, and to my children by her, towit, Martha Lee, Jane Lee, Sally Lee, Christopher Columbus Lee, and Winefred Lee; to be equally divided among them, share and share alike. 4_____I hereby constitute and appoint John Gill Shorter and Daniel McKenzie, my friends and Lovard Lee Junior, my son, Executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I, Needham Lee Senior, the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal, this the (??) day of December anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and fifty. Signed, sealed, published and declared, in the presence of us, who sign the same as witness hereto, in the presence of the testator and in the presence of each other, on the day and year therein stated.
