The particulars as we learn them, are as follows: Pratt was attacked by Linsey for having accused him of being bought up to vote for Davidson. Pratt struck him with his sword cane, and the lower end of the cane flew off, leaving the spear of the cane exposed, with which he pierced Linsey through, the wound proving fatal in a few minutes. Pratt is known here as a gentleman of character. Linsey is unknown in this quarter so far as we are informed. - Marion Commonwealth.
