Utica [NY] Weekly Herald July 20, 1890
Two detectives, in attempting to arrest a man they supposed was Bart Thrasher, a 
notorious moonshiner and escaped convict of Bibb county, Ala., shot him dead. They 
then discovered that the man was Bart's father.
