It is handwritten in loopy, old style script on the inner liner page of an old family photo album. NOT exactly a BIBLE record. My family has always referred to it as the "Lewis Family Bible record" I have noted where the writing may have been difficult to transcribe. [2] Gorgiaan S. Lewis died October the 23rd, 1873. [3] William H. Lewis died the 14 of February 1876 he... [4] [William H. Lewis] was Born March 1, 1853 [5] Mary Lewis was Born the 13 of November 1846. [6] Maria Miller was Born September the 17 of 1873. [7] J. E. Miller was Born May the 20. 1869. [8] J. E. Miller and O. E. Miller was Married [sp.] December the 10. 1891 [9] Columbus Hugh Hairson [sp?] Miller was Born December the 30 1892 [10] Enlisbt [sp?-believed to actually have been "Elisabeth"] of J. E. and O. E. Miller was born January 16.1893. Died the 19..." Additional information from the contributor : [1] J. E. Miller was James E. [Edward or Emanuel] Miller, AKA "JIM"; Jim was a farmer and merchant [census] ; Jim died of asthma [from his Obituary] at his home near Friday's Crossing on 8-31-1926 in Blount Co., Alabama, he was buried at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Snead. [2] O. E. Miller was Orena Eleanora Lewis, the daughter of William Hubbard and Gorgiaan Lewis. "Nora" is listed as a "pattern maker" following the death of her husband and is found on the 1930 Blount Co. Census living at Moore Subdivision. She died 3-16-1945 and is buried beside her husband at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Snead. [From: Blount Co., Alabama Death records: Vol.#9, Cert. # 4075, Role #1; and her Obituary] [3] Mary Lewis was the sister of William Hubbard Lewis. She "adopted" and/or reared O. E., "Nora," following her fathers death. [4] Columbus Hugh Harison [some say "Haralson or Harrellson"] Miller, AKA "C. H." Miller married Zorah Nevada Light abt 1917 in Alabama; they reared 7 children in Blount County. He worked as a farmer and a builder in the Blount Co. Area. He was a member of the Oneonta Masonic, lodge # 324. [obituary] C. H. died 6-14-1972 in Oneonta. He is buried with wife and two of his sons at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta.] The children of Columbus Hugh & Zorah Nevada Light MILLER were: [1] Columbus Luther Miller, "C. L." married Rama Hudson, Birmingham; C. L. is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta; [2] PFC James Wesley Miller, USMC- "Wesley" was killed in action during World War II, on 6-19-1944, during the Invasion of Saipan, in the South Pacific, he never married, & is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta; [3] Pauline Hazel Miller m. Wilmer Greer, Snead; [4] Arvil Barnett Miller m. Billie Rose Boler,Birmingham; [5] Samuel Revere Miller m. Edna Glenn, Oneonta; [6] Hershel Olander Miller Born 1920-Died 1920; he is buried at Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Snead; [7] Bettie Jo Miller m. Quenon Lee Copeland, Alabama & Oklahoma.]
