Present the Honorable Patrick Scott Judge of the County Court of said county at which court the following proceedings were done and had To wit: Order appointing administrator It is ordered by the Court that Robert P McMURRY be and hereby appointed administrator of all and singular the goods and chattels and personal estate late of William WOOD deceased that letters of administration issued to the said Robert P McMURRY and that thesame be recorded and that the bond of the said Robert P McMURRY be recorded. Letters The State of Alabama County Court of Blount Whereas it has been made known to said court that William WOOD late of said county lately died intestate and that the right of granting administration of his estate by the laws of said state doth pertain to said court. To the end? therefore that the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of said William WOOD at the time of his death maybe well and truly admitted. We by these presents give to Robert P McMURRY of said County in whose fidelity in his behalf we much confide full power and authority to administer all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which were of the said William WOOD at the time of his death to ask rei___??? and recover the same to pay the debts in which said deceased stood bound so for forth as his goods and chattels rights and credits will extend according to their rate and the order of the law. The said Robert P McMURRY being first duly sworn to make a true inventory of said goods and chattels rights and credits and to exhibit and return the same unto the Clerk's Office of said court at or before the expirationof (left blank by court) calendar months from the date hereof and we hereby required the said Robert P McMURRY to render to said court according to law a just and true account of his said administration. Witness John P THOMAS Clerk of our said Court at office this 8th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two and of American Independence the sixty sixth year. Bond Issued the 8th day of January 1842 Test: John P THOMAS Clerk CC. Witness Patrick Scott Judge of the County Court of said county. Know all men by these presents that we Robert P McMURRY, Jonas BYARS and Samuel McMURRY are held and firmly bound unto Patrick Scott Judge of the County Court of Blount County State of Alabama and his successors in office in the penal sum of two thousand dollars to which payment will and truly to be made we and each of us do bind ourselves our heirs &c firmly by these presents sealed with our seals and dated the 8th day of January 1842. Now the conditions of the above obligation is such that whereas the above bound Robert P McMURRY has been duly appointed administrator of the estate of William WOOD deceased. Now if said Robert P McMURRY shall will and truly perform all the duties which are or may be by law required of him as administrator then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
