July 25 Authorities assumed today that the car carrying Clifford Lumpkin and O.F. Pickett plunged into a swollen stream after its driver had missed the bridge in a rainstorm. Bodies of the men, both Tennessee Valley Authority workers from Chattanooga, were recovered from the stream yesterday. Their car was in 14 feet of water where it had plunged the night before. * * * * * * * FORMER RESIDENT Clifford Lumpkin was a former resident of Cleburne and lived with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lumpkin in south Cleburne before moving to Blount county.
