Peachburg Road will meander pass the pecan company and the Braswell Company. When you come to County Road 49 turn left and follow that to County Road 142 where you will turn left again. The church and cemetery are easy to spot on the left because there is a large sign just before the driveway that leads you onto the property. This cemetery was originally documented 11May2002 by myself and filed. It was resurveyed and therefore updated, again by myself on 11Apr2009. There have been some interesting findings between the dates. Mar 5 1887 May 13 1981 (D. stands for maiden name Denard) Additional Comments: All graves have full sized concrete slabs unless otherwise noted. There are distinct groupings of graves generally characterize by like family names or other relations. The driveway and parking lot divide the cemetery from the church. There was an outhouse noted in the original documentation and removed / torn down by the second documentation. There is a capped off well toward the inside most area of the grounds on the cemetery side. The cemetery is bordered by woods on two sides, the county road and the church. There are concrete slabs in the wooded area yet to be investigated. The Macon family seemed to have replaced all of their old family markers with new, modern ones sometime between the documentations. It is still an active cemetery as well as the church. My own grandmother Willie Elvira Pruett Tolbert (Jan 17 1919 - Nov 3 2007) attended school and church here and has shared many fond memories with me. Her Pruett family were members, uncle Sidney Dean Pruett was a deacon. She and I visited the cemetery together where she pointed out the unmarked graves of her sister and five month old son. Due to lack of funds they used the existing tree as the marker.
