(Seay) McCormick Film # 1535902 Book C, pg 47 The State of Alabama ) Bullock County ) Know all men by these presents that we James McCormick and Angeline McCormick, his wife of the County and State aforesaid for and in consideration that E. J. Logan of the city of Rome in the state of Georgia has this day executed and delivered to me a Fee Simple Rite or Deed to one hundred sixty acres of land particularily described therein lying and being in the County of Chattooga State of Georgia, the receipt of which we do hereby acknowledge. To hereby bargain, grant, sell, enfeoff and convey unto said E.J. Logan his heirs and assigns the following described tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Bullock, State of Alabama known and described as follows to wit: The East 1/2 half of the SW 1/4 quarter of Section (2?) T.(10) R. 24 containing one hundred and twenty (120) acres more or less. To have and to hold theaforegranted premises unto the said E. J. Logan his heirs and assigns that we are lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises that they are free from all incumbrances that we have a good right to sell and convey the same unto the said E.J. Logan his heirs and assigns and we hereby warrant and covenant to defend the title to the same to the said E. J. Logan his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims or demands of all heirs and whatsoever. In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals, this 11th day of May AD 1871.
