Order to Sell Property (Note: at this point on the page the previous paragraph beginning with “This day came Twiggs Franklin” and ending with “and ordered to be recorded and filed” was written a second time. Across it was written three times (on the left, center, and right) the word “Expunged”. Then the document continues as follows:) This day came Twiggs Franklin administrator with the will annexed of Mark Franklin deceased and filed his petition in writing under oath praying for an order of sale to sell personal chattels belonging to said estate as named in said petition, alleging that they are perishable in their nature, and that it will be to the interest of said estate to sell said property and is appearing to the Court that the allegations contained in said petition are true as stated. It is therefore ordered adjudged and decreed by the Court that said administrator proceed to sell said perishable property as named in said petition at public sale on the premises of the deceased in Butler County Alabama at public outcry to the highest bidder for cash having advertised the same first by posting notices on the Court house door of Butler County Alabama and at three other public places in said County for ten days before the day of sale and make report of said sale to this Court in sixty days.
