McCoy, son and administrator of the estate of John McCoy, made a bond of $5000 with Stephen F. Gafford and William H. Richards as securities. John R. McCoy filed a petition on August 27, 1856 to sell slaves and real property. His estate is recorded in Book 2 of Butler Co. Estate Records on November 27, 1857.
