Watson Judge of Probate State of Alabama } Know all men by these Presents Butler County } That I James Burkeet Sr for and in consideration of the Love and affection which I bear toward my beloved children Ivan Burkett Charity Parker Rachel Evans Polly Ann Black Jane Adams Fetima Burkett and Mary Burkett and Nancy Stinson I do hereby give grant and convey unto my said beloved children the following described property. The S.E. ¼ of S.W. ¼ of S.28.T.7.R.13. excepting the S.E.40 of S.E. ¼ of said Tract all of said parcel of Land being in the said County and State containing 200 A{cres}. minus the aforesaid exception of Forty acres. Together with all and Singular the tenements thereon, and appurtenances thereto together with all my personal effects consisting of 20 head of cattle, 4 head of Sheep 15 head 161 of hogs all my household and kitchen Furniture farming utensils + 1 wagon carpenters tools, shoe tools all the corn in my crib all the Bacon in my smoke house and all my Fodder, to have and to hold unto my aforesaid be- loved children, their heirs and assigns Forever. Mauley a subscribing wit- ness to the foregoing conveyance, known to me appeared before me this day and being sworn stated that James Burkett and Epsey Burkett the grantors in the conveyance voluntarily ex- ecuted the same in his presence, and in the pres- ence of the other subscribing witness on the day the same bears date, that he attested the same in the presence of the grantor and of the other witness and that such other witness subscribed his name as a witness in his presence.
