Know all men by these presents That Josiah Mullins, for and in consideration of the Sum of Three Thousand Dollars, to me paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained Sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain Sell and convey unto Wilson Murphy of the County of Butler all my right title and Interest in and to three negros now in the possession of Sarah Murphy namely Charles, Ceasar and Solomon, and for the consideration aforesaid I also bargain, Sell and convey, and by these presence (sic) do bargain Sell and convey unto the Said Wilson Murphy, all my right title and interest in possession or in remainder in and to the property, left by the last will and testament of John Murphy deceased, to his wife Sarah Murphy for life with remainder over, and to which so far as my interest in remainder is concerned, the said Sarah Murphy has this day conveyed to me a deed releasing and relinquishing all her life time interest therein to me vesting the Same absolutely in me from that time fourth (sic), forever, To have hold own and possess to the Said Wilson Murphy his heirs and assigns forever. And I The Said Josiah Mullins for myself , heirs, executors, Administrators and assigns do hereby agree to warrant and defend the title to the Same unto the Said Wilson Murphy, his heirs and assigns and representatives against all legal and equitable claimants, whatsoever. Bolling, Judge of the Court of Probate for Said County, hereby certify that Alfred Carter a Subscribing witness to the foregoing conveyance, known to me appeared before me this day and being Sworn Stated that Josiah Mullins the grantor in the conveyance, voluntarily executed the Same in his presence and in the presence of the other Subscribing witnesses on the day the Same bears date; That he attested the Same in the presence of the grantor and of the other witnesses and that Such other witnesses Subscribed their names as witnesses in his presence.
