W. Pouncy, of 38 Brassel Street has been promoted to the rank of second class petty officer. Recently home on furlough, he has now returned to Pensacola, Fla., to continue his training in the Navy. Petty officer Pouncy enlisted in the service 16, August 1943, and received his boot training at Pensacola. Mrs. J. W. Pouncy, before her marriage, was Miss Eunice McDaniel of McKenzie, Ala.
