She was stricken with influenza which went into pneumonia resulting in her death. She was one of the most estimable women of this section and the bereaved family have the sympathy of all in her loss. She was the widow of Richard Stephen Cross, who died nine years ago. She is survived by six children: Mrs. J. V. Carsenwell and Mrs. Lewis Thigpen of Montgomery, Mrs. C. M. Avery of Birmingham, Mrs. W. J. Thigpen, Miss Maud Cross and E. C. Cross of Georgiana; also four sisters, Mrs. T. J. Harrison and Miss Villa Fallaw of Montgomery, Mrs. Belle and Mrs. Smith of Franklinton, LA, and one brother George Fallaw of Tuscaloosa. Additional Comments: Leona [Leora] Cross was the daughter of Angeline Elizabeth Brogden and Andrew Jackson Fallaw. She is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave in Oakwood Cemetery, Georgiana, Butler Co., AL.
