He leaves a wife and family to mourn his loss. Additional Comments: RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT Butler County News, Thursday, August 14, 1919 TO JOHN ELBERT MIDDLETON Whereas, on the evening of December 29th, 1918, one of our most beloved and efficient brother Masons was summoned from us to the supreme grand lodge above, from labor to refreshment. Therefore be it resolved, first, that we have been greatly benefited by his affiliation, by his Masonic knowledge, and by his council. And second, that we are conscious of a sad loss in his death, and the family a devoted companion, and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. And, third, that as a token of esteem our altar be draped and each member wear a Masonic badge of mourning for thirty days.
