OBITUARY

	Louisa Jane Simpson Trawick was born, January 25th, 1839, and died 
Oct. 1, 1927.  She was married to Thadeous Mitchel Trawick, August 3rd, 1854 
and to this couple was born eight children, of whom five survive to mourn her 
death.  Her husband preceded her to the grave twenty-seven years ago.  She had 
left beside five children to mourn her loss, thirty-six grandchildren , forty-
four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
	The children are: Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Womack of Evergreen, Ala., Mr. 
and Mrs. A. W. Trawick and Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Trawick of Owassa, Ala., Mr. and 
Mrs. J. L. Trawick of McDavid, FL., and Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Trawick of 
Georgiana, Ala.
	Mrs. Trawick united with the Baptist church when she was twenty years 
of age, and always lived a sweet Christian live.  At the time of her death she 
was making her home with Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Trawick of Georgiana.  She was 
laid to rest at Shackleville cemetery, where a host of relatives and friends 
gathered to pay their last respects to the deceased.
	It was the writer’s privilege and pleasure to visit Sister Trawick 
many times during her illness and she was always cheerful even when she was 
suffering.  She said just a few days before her death that she knew her time 
was short, but that she was ready and waiting for the summons to come home.--
