She had been in bad health for a number of years, but bore all her pains and trials with a smile. To those who knew and loved her there will be great loneliness. While here she proved to be a very good and faithful wife and mother. and a friend to many. She was always ready to help those in need when called upon. She was born December 26, 1882, in Butler county, and lived in the Green-Moore community all her life. Surviving are her husband and seven children, Horace Turner, of Greenville, Rt. 1; A. L. Turner of Pascagoula, Miss.; Mrs. O.W. Whittington, of Bolling, Rt. 1; Alma Turner, of Biloxi, Miss.; Ross Turner, Jr., of Bolling, Rt. 1; Ralph Turner, of Pritchard, and Velma Turner, of Bolling; three sisters, Mrs. J. J. Davis, of Bolling; Mrs. Lizie Hicks, and Mrs. Mary Simmins, of Brewton. Funeral services were held from Brushey Creek church on Tuesday, June 1st at eleven o'clock, with Rev. John Joyner officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Dunklin in charge.
