Even tho’ his sojourn in the Sunny South has only been of about eight months duration he has added greatly to the personnel of the Sub-Depot Quartermaster’s staff and judging from the affectionate attitude of his co-workers tow him it is thought that he spent his entire career within the bounds of Camp McClellan he could not have endeared himself to them more. His popularity reaches beyond the limits of the Q. M. Detachment and Truck Companies, and even unto the Western Union Reservation – by the employees thereof he is adored. He has proven himself indispensable to the United State Government by the competent way in which he handles various trucks of indefinite denomination and it is with grief in our hearts that we think of him ever being discharged. Another commendable feature of the aforementioned gentleman, as well as soldier, is his amiable disposition and thereby is shed an atmosphere of radiance which is equaled only by his angelic smile. When his duties at this camp are completed and he is taken from our midst to enlighten another vicinity we sincerely trust that he can accomplish, as much good and improve the general conditions of the world to such an extent that his glory will extend not only in the state of Alabama and Oregon but over the face of the whole earth.
