Funeral services for Daniel L. Hammonds, 52, who died at his home at Alexandria 
Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, following a short illness, will be held from 
Mt. Zion church at 3 o'clock this afternoon.  Rev. Frank L. McCullars will 
officiate.  Interment will be made in Mr. Zion cemetery.  Stanley-White will be 
in charge.
Mr. Hammonds had been living in this county for several years and was well 
known.  He had been ill only a few days before his death.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, John, Jim, Frank and Pink Hammonds, of 
Alexandria, four daughters, Mrs. C. A. Bryant, of Anniston, and Mrs. H. D. 
Bremer, Mrs. N. L. Owens and Miss Annie Hammonds of Alexandria.
J. T. Owens, J. H. Christopher, C. D. Medders, J. E. Boone, A. A. Boozer and F. 
P. Eure will serve as pallbearers.
