Hanks A Good Woman Has Gone to Her Final Reward Mrs. Nannie E. Garett Hanks, the beloved wife of L. A. Hanks, of this city, died on Tuesday morning, after a short illness, of the grip. Mrs. Hanks was born on March 11, 1842 in Carroll county, Ga. She was married to Mr. Hanks on July 30, 1866, at Natville, this state. She joined the Baptist church at Double Springs, Etowah county, this state, during August 1869, having professed religion some time previous. Mrs. Hanks was the mother of eight children, six of whom survive her. She was a woman held in high esteem by all those who knew her. Many friends mourn her death, and Mr. Hanks and her children have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement.
