FUNERAL FOR MRS. MELLON ON TUESDAY

     Services Will Be Held At Oxford: Interment To Be At DeArmanville

     Funeral services for Mrs. W.E. Mellon, who died at Sellers Hospital after 
an illness of several weeks' duration will be held from the family home in 
Oxford Tuesday morning 10 o'clock and interment will take place at the 
DeArmanville Cemetery, near her former home.

     Mrs. Mellon was well known in this section of the state and many friends 
a regrieved her departure.  During this past week her illness became more 
serious and for several days little hope had been held out for her recovery.

     She is survived by her husband, W.E. Mellon, four sons and three 
daughters.  There are: Edward Mellon, Foster Mellon and Thomas Mellon, of 
Oxford, Samuel Mellon, of Anniston, Mrs. James T. Brittain, of Oneonta, and 
Betty Mellon and Nelle Gray Mellon, of Oxford.  Three sisters, Miss Betty 
Foster, Mrs. J.M. Anderson and Mrs. William Swann, all of Nashville, also 
survive.  The former was with Mrs. Mellon when she died.

     Mrs. Mellon was 67 years of age.  She was a faithful member of the 
Methodist Church, and a former pastor, Rev. Robert H. ___, will come to Oxford 
from Collinsville to conduct the funeral services.
