OXFORD - Services for Mrs. Roberta R. Mellon, 96, of 210 Gray St., Oxford, 
will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Oxford with Dr. 
Charles Martin officiating.  Burial will be in Oxford Memorial Gardens with 
Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge.  The family will receive friends from 6 
to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mellon died Tuesday at her home.

Survivors include a son; two grandchildren and three-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bester Adams, Lamar Nolen and Howard Bentley.  Honorary 
pallbearers will be deacons of Oxford First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mellon was an Oxford native and lifelong resident.  She was the oldest 
member of Oxford First Baptist Church and was retired from Anniston Army 
Depot.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam A. Mellon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Oxford's 
building fund.
