Piedmont Inquirer, OCt 14, 1899
Miss Claude Webb, of Spring Garden, died at her home in that place, on Saturday 
morning.  Miss Claude had a wide circle of admiring friends in this city who 
were painfully shocked to learn of her untimely death.  Interment took place on 
Sunday at Pleasant Gap, Ala.  Funeral services being conducted by Rev. Geo. D. 
Harris.  We extend sympaty [sic] to the bereaved family.
