Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of the Rev. W.P. Howell, of Oak Level, and a consistent Christian woman. Having been a widow for three years, she had labored incessantly for her children as long as she had strength. But for some time now she had been confined to her room and became thoroughly reconciled to her approaching death. She leaves five children who are orphans indeed and we offer them the tenderest sympathy and commend them to Him who makes the orphans his special care. Interment took place at the family burying ground on the Wilson plantation a few miles from the city.
