This cemetery is located in Section 29, Township 24N, Range 25E, Chambers County, 
Alabama.  This survey was made May, 1986, by the contributor.

1. Sacred to the Memory of Deacon James A. Talbot, born May 8th, 1816  Died June 
   25th, 1878 "Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His saints."  
   Psalm CXVI. 15th v.  (James A. Talbot was granted license to establish a ferry 
   "where the center line of Section 29, Township 24, Range 25, crosses the Talapoosa 
   River", on December 20, 1852.  This ferry was later owned and operated by members of 
   the Fant family and was known as Fant's Ferry until it ceased to operate in 1922.

   H562 James A. Talbot 44M, Farmer, R$2,000, 6 slaves, P$6,000, born GA; Rosanna 46F, 
   born SC; Eugenia Wise 2F, born AL; Ephraim Fant 19M, Farm Laborer, born AL.)


2. In Memory of Rosanna Talbot, born July 25, 1810  Died January 12, 1881  
   (Chambers County Marriage Record of James Talbot and Rosana Wise, September 27, 1842, 
   by McCarty Oliver, (MG).  Rosanna Wise was the widow of Isaiah Wise of Butts County, GA.  
   One son by this marriage Parham Lindsey Wise.)

3. In Memory of Nettie dau. Of J. A. & M. R. Hodnett, born July 1, 1881  Died October 3, 1881

4. In Memory of James T. son of J. A. & M. R. Hodnett, born December 4, 1875  Died November 9, 1878
