From a transcript of the records for First Baptist Church of LaFayette dated
September 2, 1854
	Whereas the church has received information that our brother Thomas T. 
Hopkins is dead, on motion Brethren S. Pearson and J. Falkner were appointed a 
committee to prepare a suitable preamble and resolution relative to the death 
of Brother Hopkins to be published, also recorded in the church book.
